Rebates
We are a registered heat pump and gas contractor for the HPCN(Home Performance
Contractor Network)and TSBC (Technical Safety BC). We are eligible to CleanBC heat pump
rebate programs, as well as the FortisBC Dual-fuel rebate program. We’re pleased to
assist you in applying for the corresponding high rebates and installing energy-efficient
heat pumps, Dual-fuel systems and hot water heaters for you.
Types of rebates:
1. Dual fuel heating system rebate – with and without income qualified

FortisBC dual fuel heating system rebate helps lower the cost of installing a new electric heat pump with a new high-efficiency gas furnace.
To qualify for a rebate, the system must be installed with a connected thermostat that switches to gas heating at a specific temperature setting. When you install a qualifying dual fuel system, you’ll have access to a reliable and efficient heating system to keep your home warm and comfortable, even on the coldest days – while also benefiting from cooling on hot days, and a system that can 100% efficient under certain conditions.
FortisBC is offering this rebate for customers who want a higher-efficiency heating and cooling system that can replace their aging gas furnace, whilst helping to reduce their energy use and associated greenhouse gas emissions.

2. Natural gas water heater rebates – income qualified

Income-qualified customers who upgrade to an eligible gas ENERGY STAR ® waterheater could qualify for a rebate up to $3000.

Eligibility:
1. You must be a residential FortisBC gas customer with only one active residential gas account, upgrading the water heater at your primary residence.
2. You must be replacing an existing water heater.
3. Your combined annual household income (from all sources) must be below the maximum shown for your household size. Notice of Assessment is required:

4. Applications must be submitted within one year of the invoice date.
5. The home must be a year-round primary residence that is at least 10 years old,no larger than 3,500 square feet and be one of the following: single family home; duplex; triplex; row home; townhouse or manufactured/mobile home on apermanent foundation.

If it’s time to replace your old water heater, you have choices beyond a standard storage tank, including high-efficiency tankless and condensing models. Compare each type below and choose a qualifying gas ENERGY STAR water heater for a rebate of up to $3000. Note: combination heating and hot water system rebates are not available to income-qualified customers.

3. CleanBC Better Home Energy Savings Heat Pump Rebate Program

Rebate details:
The CleanBC Better Homes Energy Savings Rebate Program (formerly the Income
Qualified Program) offers up to $19000 rebates for replacing your old furnaces and
boilers with a new high efficiency heat pump more affordable.
At the same time, CleanBC offers up to $25900 rebates to upgrade your Electric Power
Capacity, Ventilation Fan, Insulation Performance etc.
Eligibility:
Income qualification requirements
Rebate coverage is based on the combined income of all adults in your home and how many people live in your home, including adults and children.

(Income level 3 only includes heat pump rebates for homes switching from
natural gas, propane, or oil space heating.)
Requirements for the home
1. You must live in an eligible home:
2. The property must be a year-round primary residence, that is at least 12
months old.
3. For participants registering in the program as income levels 1 or 2, the
property must have a total assessed value at or under $1,230,000 in the BC
Assessment listing for the address of the applicant’s home in the year of
program registration.
4. If a household meets the income threshold of any of the levels in the table above, but the home is valued at or higher than the property value of
$1,230,000, they will be approved as an income level 3 participant.
5. You must have a residential utility account with FortisBC, BC Hydro, or
a municipal utility.
6. You must pay your own energy utility bills. Utility accounts must be in the
name of the resident and/or homeowner; utility accounts in the name of a
strata corporation or landlord are not eligible.
7. If you currently rent your home, you will need a landlord consent form to
accompany your application.
8. You must pre-register and receive an eligibility code before completing the upgrade.
